I went to the workshop this morning to continue working on my final product. Before I started making the spring section, I used an electric drill to drill numerous holes on the block I had produced yesterday that were all the same size. I had to manufacture my own spring because I didn't have one in the appropriate size. I bought some thin steel wire from an art supply store first, then I wound it around a wooden stick. However, I discovered that this production procedure takes a long time. In the end, I devised a technique that involves attaching the wooden stick and steel wire to the electric drill, twisting the steel wire to one side, and then turning the switch to cause the steel wire to wrap around the wooden stick. Thus, a spring is produced. I filled the holes in the spring and block with a mixture of wood glue and sawdust to better secure the spring to the block.

In the afternoon, I created baseboards for some secondhand clothing with my sewing machine. I chose a large number of leftover fabrics from the warehouse, folded and stitched them, and then piled them. After that, I constructed a cushion cover, stuffed it with the cushion I had made earlier that day, and lined the bottom with cotton to give it a bouncy feel. I'm going to keep working on the first part of my ultimate product tomorrow.
